Statement

  • Guided by artists who I emulate and revere, I am constantly searching for ways to develop my process as an exploration of overly sensationalized imagery, and unvarying implementations of my own notions of the "familiar."

  •  Environment is always a factor.  As an artist, I feel it is my responsibility to employ a daily reflection of my identity within society in the form of a understood critique or analysis of the world that is constructed around my life, through friends, happenings, and media.

  •  My concepts of recent are delving more and more into my own personal struggles with my own identity as an artist, an American, and as a student, while implying social implications and the helplessness for change felt by many across the world.

  • I strive to manipulate the ephemeral traits or exploits of illustrated imagery.  Which in turn project an underlying emphasis on an understanding of weighted or cross cultural social interactions. Be it through the unsaid or unrealized timelessness of imagery and its overall ability to interrelate throughout generations or the simplicity of line interacting with abstract color fields.
